We have established the personal information protection policy set out below, built a framework for protecting personal information, and are committed to recognising its importance and handling personal information appropriately.
Site analytics and external services
This site does not use any analytics tool to analyse visitor behaviour. Nor does this site use cookies for the purpose of tracking visitors.
However, we use the following external services in order to display the site and to receive bookings. With these services, the provider may record technical information such as the date and time of access and the IP address.
- Cloudflare (USA) — delivery of the website
- Google (USA) — booking form, availability calendar, booking notification emails, page fonts
- Instagram (Meta / USA) — the official account linked from this site

1.Compliance with laws and regulations
In handling customers' personal information, Hinome Project complies with the relevant laws and regulations on personal information protection, as well as its own internal rules.
2.Purposes of use
Hinome Project obtains customers' personal information for the following purposes.
Where information is obtained for a purpose not set out here, we will state that purpose in advance at the time of collection.
- To provide kimono and yukata rental, on-location dressing, and related services.
- To confirm booking details, to prepare for the day, and to contact customers.
- To respond to enquiries from customers.
3.Proper acquisition
Hinome Project does not obtain customers' personal information by deception or other improper means.
4.Information we collect
The information Hinome Project collects from customers through the booking form and similar means is as follows.
Name, name in kana, telephone number, email address, preferred date and time, number of people, preferred plan, preferred kimono, yukata, obi and haori, options selected, height and shoe size, postal code, address and access details for the visit location, purpose of use (optional), and enquiry details.
- Email addresses are collected by a function of the booking form (Google Forms).
- We do not ask for date of birth or gender.
5.Provision to third parties
Hinome Project does not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases.
- When we introduce a partner specialist, such as for professional hair styling or make-up, and share with that specialist the information needed to carry out the service (name, address, preferred date and time, and the like).
- Where required by law.
- Where it is necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent.
- Where it is particularly necessary to improve public health or to promote the sound upbringing of children, and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent.
- Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government body, or a party entrusted by them, in performing duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the customer's consent would risk impeding those duties.
6.Disclosure, correction and deletion
Hinome Project endeavours to keep personal information accurate and up to date.
Furthermore, when a customer asks for disclosure of the personal information held by Hinome Project, we will confirm that the request comes from the person concerned and disclose it promptly.
If any information proves to be incorrect, we will correct or delete it promptly.

7.Security management
Hinome Project takes the necessary and appropriate measures to manage the security of the personal information it handles, including preventing leakage, loss or damage.
8.Employee training and supervision
When having employees handle personal information, Hinome Project provides ongoing employee training and appropriate supervision so that the information is kept secure.
9.Supervision of contractors
Where Hinome Project entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to another party, it exercises the necessary and appropriate supervision of that party so that the entrusted information is kept secure.
We currently use the following services and contractors.
- Google (USA) — booking form, storage of booking details, booking notification emails, availability calendar
- Cloudflare (USA) — delivery of the website
- The person who operates the website and the booking notification system — receives the booking notifications so that a failure to deliver them can be noticed
10.Handling of complaints
Hinome Project responds appropriately and promptly to complaints regarding the handling of personal information.

11.Retention period
Information entrusted to us through bookings and enquiries is stored as responses to the booking form.
If a customer asks us to delete it, we will do so promptly.
